If I knew, I'd be using it here already. If you manage to get information regarding one, please share that with me as well. I know of one commercial application named SlipStream, which is a dialup accelerator which does what you are asking about. It works in a client-server architecture and as such your dialup users have to run the 'client' portion on their PCs. I do not know if there is a client for *NIX, so you might not be lucky with 'advanced' (using Unix) clients, but the ordinary client who uses only Winblows will he happy, I can assure you. We did run tests at out ISP... A google search for "slipstream accelerated dial" will give you more information. -Wash http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html -- +======================================================================+ |\ _,,,---,,_ | Odhiambo Washington <wash@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Zzz /,`.-'`' -. ;-;;,_ | Wananchi Online Ltd. www.wananchi.com |,4- ) )-,_. ,\ ( `'-'| Tel: +254 20 313985-9 +254 20 313922 '---''(_/--' `-'\_) | GSM: +254 722 743223 +254 733 744121 +======================================================================+ In specifications, Murphy's Law supersedes Ohm's.
