it's regardless which image i choose...i can go back to the original if you prefer. both are showing up the same in access.log, with the correct URL.
I've only been able to reproduce this thus far from blogger.com.

This is not the same image as you reported the problem on before..
Key question: Does access.log report the same strange URL as you see in the error message?
If not, what entries in access.log is there which could be for that image? Is there perhaps more than one?
