It's not a small addition. Usually wifi has a much higher latency then wired lan. For comparison on lan usually youhave 2-4 ms latency while on wifi 80-100 ms unless you have powerful and quite idle network infrastructure(but still higher than wired).Unfortunately currently the protocol implementation is quite latency dependent.I don't think the latency here is an issue if you are using a recent encoder (here some clientguy should help on how to know the encoder used).
