Hi !
I did some more testing on other virtual windows boxes and the same installer did run so I guess something weird happen on that particular box. The download was 6.3 or 6.5 MB so it looked ok.Another thing I like to know is, is there working spice-tools support for windows 8.1 64bit or when can we have that ? Win8.1 complained about not supported driver.

with IE, have you tried getting it with Firefox or Chrome? Actually, after
just trying this on winxp with IE I'm indeed getting a partial download
(650kB instead of 6.3MB). Have you checked that the file you download
matches the signature at
http://www.spice-space.org/download/windows/spice-guest-tools/spice-guest-tools-0.74.exe.sign ?
The expected sha256sum is 8da2b73d1d6a7f0943526794688d993c416cc6601b480307fcde6d5aa9466907
