Just want to mention that you have the following definitions in the default protocol:
message {
uint32 code;
} @ctype(SpiceMsgcKeyDown) key_down = 101;
message {
uint32 code;
} @ctype(SpiceMsgcKeyUp) key_up;
That is why I thought that is good enough ;-)
