I admit I also found the pi good enough as media center with raspbmc, but slow as a thin client (at least with the f18 I tested) I thought about 100-150 euro for each client without monitor or a solution with pc+monitor (19" is ok) and 200 euro each Donna if there are cheap thin cients embedded in monitor yet.... Actually right now there are some dell OptiPlex GX260 that are sufficiently powerful to run a sort of pxe boot client with spice but are dying... due to their age...
