um, I think that may be misleading.

That is not a bug I have seen lately, and if it really exists, I'd be
very interested in learning more about it.

My suspicion is that the packaged versions of xf86-video-qxl are lagging
badly; the last tagged release is from last March, and it has improved
considerably since then.

So I would recommend building an xf86-video-qxl driver from git and
retesting.
