Hi,

Replacing the NVRAM is not that dificult and replacements are still available.

Reprogramming the hostid/mac address is a pain. I have some notes from the web as I can never remember how to do it.

If you re really adventurous you can just replace the battery. I replaced
one of mine with a rechargeable version so it will probably outlast
the rest of the hardware.

Really-Bad-Choice of clock+battery module that Sun made has "killed"
many of my older suns.
