Cool idea!

I do get an error on the final element of the decompress mcompand though:

".1,.1 4:-41,-56,-21,-36,-23,-26,-14,-17,-9,-9"

does not increase monotonically. You know more about mcompand than I do, so I hesitate to recommend the
solution.
