It was a mess. More often thn not, running sox on
a file that needed ffmpeg processing resulted
in a segfault. Yes, ocassionally it processed
e.g. an m4a file.

More importantly, ffmpeg is a huge video application with no place in sox.
libmagic is not nearly the burden ffmpeg was, but is equaly misplaced.
