Hello group, I am Tomasz Popik, i am a student of 5th year math university in Poland. I dlike to ask you to join my open source project. Task is to build an open source client/server application that will allow to monitor your network(s) while you are off line and outside lan area. Idea is below. To write clients and install it on every servers you have in your network. This client is able to collect information about : DNS resolving, ping time, mail status, etc. Basicly every daemonts you run on your servers. Once the data is collected, client will send it to your gateway of you LAN, and send data to remote and trusted linux box. This box have installed server, which collect all data, and output it as WAP browsable pages or send it as SMSes to your GPRS cellura phone, which you constantly have in your pocket :) . Remote dignostic should be highly configurable. By useing this tool you will quickly find that for exaple your saba server is shutdown or first DNS server is hang up. In addition, tool will allow to reboot or restart your clints remotely.
