Red Hat left out LVM support in their 7.2 distribution because of what they
felt were serious problems in the code. So for now at least, your only
option is RAID.

Subject: [Redhat-s390-list] LVM vs Software RAID on s390

I am trying to create filesystems larger than the standard VM Minidisk
(3390) of 2.3 GB. Which is the better way to accomplish creating larger
filesystems, LVM or RAID?

Thanks.
