Actually, we do not deliberately do anything to break Linux running on pre-G5 models - indeed we (still) have a Multiprise 2000 we test with. However, we don't spend much efforts for pre-G3 machines either ... Regardless of Linux' ability to run on pre-G5 models, please be aware that certain middleware will eventually break due to math emu restrictions on pre-G5 machines. Not deliberately designed for breaking, but their requirements are simply not met.
