rpmbuild compiler output during %build on RHEL 7

All-

It's finally annoyed me enough to ask: The rpmbuild 4.11.1 that comes
with RHEL 7 defaults to hiding the compilation output during the %build
phase. It's definitely not an issue with the Makefile; even if I pass
the V=1 that recent automake requires to get verbose output during the
'make' process, I'm still not getting the full compiler output. I suspect
it's rpmbuild that's defaulting to hiding it.

Is there some macro I can change with rpmbuild on RHEL 7 to disable that
behavior, so I actually see *all* the output during compilation?

Thanks,

Tim
