On Behalf Of doc Hi Gang, I created an RPM here in the United States. Recently, this RPM failed when installed in both France and Germany where the locale was not en_US.UTF-8, which I guess is to
be expected. Is there a flag the user can set when doing rpm or yum install? Or, does the user have to set their locale to en_US.UTF-8 before installation? Or, is there something I can do during the creation of the RPM so that the RPM can be installed on non en_US.UTF-8 systems? Or, is there something I'm suppose to know about RPM creation that I don't?
