Is this possible ? I have not found spurios char in the spec or in tmp.txt, perhaps something in your env ? or Perhaps the directory contain $'\r' ? Perhaps exists corner case in the build in this area http://www.dwheeler.com/essays/fixing-unix-linux-filenames.html, but dunno. Please report what you find.
