Hi Guys, I am using a new version of RPM. It looks like it acts in differently way than before. If the directory of a file doesn't exist, it will fail the dependency instead of automatically creating the directory. For example, abc.rpm contains a file fileDIR/fileNAME. If fileDIR is not installed, abc.rpm will fail the dependency check. Is there any option for rpm or rpmlib to force it automaticaly create the directory?
Specifying the exact version of rpm you use will make it much easier to find out where/what the problems ist. Try rpm --version if you do not know. The distribution you are using can also help.
