Unsatisfied dependencies

Hi,

 

I am using rpm on Ubuntu 8.04 to install my rpm package. I saw a strange problem. The rpm –Vp always complains the unsatisfied dependencies while the dependencies all exist. Anyone knows what is wrong?  Thanks!

 

$uname -a

Linux qdpat-xp 2.6.24-19-server #1 SMP Wed Jun 18 15:18:00 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

 

$rpm --version

RPM version 4.4.2.1

 

$rpm -Vp pat-32.0_ofc1-1.i386.rpm

Unsatisfied dependencies for pat-32.0_ofc1-1.i386: /bin/bash, /bin/sh, /bin/sh, /bin/sh, /bin/sh, /usr/bin/perl

 

$ls -l /usr/bin/perl

-rwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1080724 2008-12-22 21:34 /usr/bin/perl

$ls -l /bin/bash

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 702160 2008-05-12 14:33 /bin/bash

 

$ls -l /bin/sh

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 2009-01-08 00:21 /bin/sh -> dash
