I have an issue where I build an RPM using 'rpmbuild -ba <spec file>'

also tried with rpmbuild -bb with no luck.

No %files section?

Can you post the output of the "rpmbuild -ba" command?

Output from rpmbuild -ba command:

+ umask 022
+ cd /users/home/jm1/redhat/BUILD

So it's definitely building the source rpm here, but not the binary.
