I am back with another interesting problem (atleast to me :-) )
I am using RHN (Red Hat Network ) for deploying the RPMs and this is how it goes.....
CASE 1
I have an exit 1 statement at the %pre section and what i am expecting the RPM to do is to come out without installing the RPM and it should give me an error saying %pre script faild ...blah..blah.... But, fortunately, my RPM doesnt get installed but it doesnt give me any error on the RHN console.
CASE 2
I have an exit 2 statement at the %post section. If i try to install this RPM, it gets installed, but it is not giving me any error on the RHN console, saying %post script failed....
Can somebody help me as to how can i get error messages on the RHN Console for the above scenarios ??? I am not using up2date to install the RPM, but through RHN console.
