If you followed the advice above then both rpms will go to the same name. Please show the header lines from the spec file that are setting up this definition. I think the problem is there. I think you are probably making things too complicated. I personally have never needed to make these types of changes and I thought that I have done some pretty gnarly things with spec files. Simple is better. I suggest that you step back and take a simpler pass at this. What are you trying to do again? (I personally did not see any of this earlier mail exchange.)
