popt is your friend in ~/.popt

rpm alias -x -q --qf '%{epoch}:%{name}-%{version}-%{release}.%{arch}\n'
rpmq alias -x -q --qf '%{epoch}:%{name}-%{version}-%{release}.%{arch}\n'

Or whatever you want:

rpm -qx rpm
(none):rpm-4.4.2-15.2.i386
