Preparing to build rpm 4.4.4 on Solaris 2.9

I'm in the process of preparing to build rpm-4.4.4 on "virgin" Solaris 2.9
machine (just OS installed, currently slowly compiling all dependencies needed
by rpm). The README file could use updating (there's many more required
packages to compile RPM then listed in README file).

One question. The README file says both db and db3 are needed. Hmmm... Can I
use latest db4 from sleepycat (configured with --enable-compat185)? Or just
db3 (again, configured with --enable-compat185)? Or I really need to have both
db and db3 installed in paralel?
