RE: Extracting trigger scripts without installing the RPM first

Hi Valery, All

Do you have any other ideas?

rpm -qp --triggers <file> doesn't provide the script data.

For example, with an RPM I cooked up, I had the following:

%pre

echo "We're in preinstall now"

%post

echo "We're in postinsall now"

%preun

echo "We're in preremove now"

%postun

echo "We're in postremove now"

But rpm -qp --triggers on the RPM yielded no output.

Andrew

You may to use 'rpm -qp --triggers rpm_file.
By the way there is a rpmrebuild
(http://rpmrebuild.sourceforge.net/)
and it

Instead of doing it yourself you can use rpmrebuild
(http://rpmrebuild.sourceforge.net/) and just write
plugin for changing triggers
