Ah, yes, thanks, with that redefining __find_* works again.  But, it
seems that the problems I had (a package that "requires" more than it
"provides" w.r.t. its own libraries - it looks like this was related
to symlinked libraries) are gone when just using the *standard* find_*
scripts i.s.o. the internal algorithms.

So, the internal algorithms are different from the find_* scripts,
it seems.
