Hi, For one of our clients, I am currently trying to find a way to generate under AIX 5.2 some noarch rpm that will get installed on Linux. The problem I face is I can't find a way to change the OS of the generated rpm package. I tryied both rpm 3.0.5 from IBM and rpm 4.0.0 from Bull --target is well read but does not work : I see the messages "Building target platforms: noarch-foo-linux" and "Building for target noarch-foo-linux" but rpm -q --qf %{OS} tells aix5.2 and I need --ignoreos to install it under Linux. When I use the same thing with 3.0.3 ou 4.4.1 under Linux, I can specify the OS I want and rpm -q --qf %{OS} is OK... Defining _target_os and other ones does not work, but anyway this does not work on 3.0.3/Linux so I think this did not work on old versions and I should drop this option. Does anyone have any clue on how to have --target working fine under AIX, or maybe some newer rpm for AIX which would work better on this point ?
