post/preun installl scripts do not run

Hello World,

I have built an rpm package which contains both a post and preun
install script. I am installing the rpm on identical hardware and
software (the filesystem is mirrored with a primary unit), however,
their behaviours are different. On the one system, the package
installs and un-installs cleanly, however, on the other, the scripts
are not executed at all. It's as if, rpm does not know about them but
when I issue the rpm -q --scripts command, it shows me both scripts.

I have checked environment variables and rpmrc files. They are all
identical. Any suggestions on this issue?

In an attempt to rule out my in-experience with building RPMs, I then
tried creating other packages, with the same results.

HanSon.
