hello all, This is what I am trying to do for creating an rpm file... 1) Get the abc.tar.gz 2) Extract abc.tar.gz into the dir I want the precompiled copy to be at. 3) Run postinstall scripts. I believe the %prep or %build part is not needed. But for some reason, I just can't get the rpm to be created. Can anyone give me a link where I can read a how to for my scenario? Most ones on the net are for compiling and it does not apply to my problem.
