Installing RPM's

Hi all,

I am using up2date to install updates, and I see that the system is installing same updates every time I update the system. Under /var/log directory, I have five files created for rpm packages, they are (1) rpmpkgs (2) rpmpkgs.1 (3) rpmpkgs.2 (4) rpmpkgs.3 (5) rpmpkgs.4. First file “rpmpkgs” has nothing in it, but the rest of the files have rpm packages that I have installed previously, and all the files have exact same information.

I am new to RHEL world, pretty much looks like I am doing something wrong.

Thanks

Satish
