All - I need to install the latest version of the QLogic qla2200.o file on my RHEL 2.1 servers. The file I want to overwrite is /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/addon/qla2xxx/qla2200.o, but if I try to build an RPM that installs that file, I get a conflict. I know from e-mail communication with another list member that newer versions of modutils (i.e. FC1, RHEL 3 and later) are smart enough to look in /lib/modules/`uname -r`/updates but apparently the modutils package in RHEL 2.1 is not. So what do I do? I can install the module as /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/addon/qla2xxx/qla2200.new and then in %post mv it to qla2200.o, but that seems kind of hackish. Is there a better way? What are some ways I can update a single kernel module?
