Is it precompiled driver or you have downloaded the
source and trying to install a driver. If it's the RPM source package of the
driver then probably I believe that you might need Linux Kernel Source tree
to build the driver against the running linux kernel source tree.

Subject: network adapter driver gives
error
I get the error message "Linux source tree not found" when
attempting to install a driver for a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit
controller network adapter. I am using Redhat 9.0 , kernel 2.4.20-8smp. The
version of the driver I am trying to use is 7.3.5
Any help would be much appreciated.
