docdir question

Hi,

I have a package that will install a documentation tree in a non-
standard location. All doc files will be marked with %doc.

Now in order for rpm -e to succeed without leaving dangling
directories, should the documentation dirs be marked with %dir ?
%docdir ? %doc ? something else ?

Should the root doc dir receive special treatment or should it be
processed like its subdirs ?

Regards,
