grep ks.cfg /proc/cmdline" && echo "Kickstart" || echo "Not Kickstart"

You may not have ks.cfg, but you could grep for other things, or even pass
an additional bogus param to on the append line of your
pxelinux.cfg/syslinux.cfg in your kickstart.
