Hmm.... I didn't think that was a fatal error. Did all the files get unpacked?

certainly seemed to be fatal -- nothing showed up in the BUILD directory, and the entire processing stopped right at that point.

Haven't run into that myself. I'm assuming you are doing: rpmbuild -bp SPECS/mypackage.spec and getting some sort of "Error: Bad owner/group" message.

You might check your %files section. Also, you might post a log of the problem happening...
