Hi, I am using Red Hat Linux 8. When I try to configure the sound card using 'detect sound card' program it says, Sound is not compiled into the system. How can I get the sound working on my current system, Red Hat 8.0? I am ready to rebuilding the kernel, too. I need some pointers to start work in this direction. I want to use this opportunity to know more about Linux. Sound works when I boot the same desktop in Windows XP. Thanks in advance and regards, chandra ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: The information in this message is confidential and may be legally privileged.
