[Sound] sound problem

Hi

I'm having a problem with my sound. Have looked around for information, so can give a bit more information that might be able to help. I am getting the following error message

Sound Server Informational Message:

Error while initializing the sound driver

device/dev/dsp can't be opened (no such device)

Now, I have a VIA Technologies card, that is showing as disabled. Don't know how to change that.

Entering the following command less /proc/ioports I get the following result.
