[Sound] No sound from intel onboard sound card!!

Hi,
	I have installed Redhat 8.0 on a new Pentium 4 based PC  with 
intel motherboard D845GBV using ICH4 (82801DB).

	Linux detects the soundcard, but gives no sound on running the
soundcard detection tool or the sndconfig utility. 

	The sndconfig utility produces the following error:

I had the same problem with the original kernel (2.4.18-14) and had
upgraded the kernel.
