[Sound] No sunder under rh 8.0 but rh 7.2?

Hello,

I understand that I'm not the only one with this problem :-) but!

I have two sound cards (an oooollllddd sould blaster and a newer no 
name) and they both worked fine under red hat 7.2, but now there is ... 
no sound.

If im to believe the answers to other questions like mine, red hat 
supports my sound cards no longer... but why? and what sound cards are 
supported?

Apparently a "sparkling, new Soundblaster Audigy 2" isn't supported 
either..... :-)
