I'd like to have both ones on iptables. But when I try to run (on the system with ipchains) iptables --list I get a bunch of nasty error messages like:IIRC, you can't load iptables while the ipchains module is loaded. I thought that the error message said something to this effect, but it's been a while since I used ipchains. Try this: # /sbin/service ipchains stop # /sbin/rmmod ipchains Then try loading/running iptables. You might have modules other than just ipchains to clear away. You'll probably also want to do this: # /sbin/chkconfig ipchains off # /sbin/chkconfig iptables on Personally, I usually "rpm -e ipchains" since I never have a need for it. If you're really stuck, remove the ipchains RPM and reboot. That will definately clear out the offending modules, and should prevent them from being reloaded. - -- Matt Brodeur RHCE MBrodeur@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.NextTime.com best regards, Pekka --- (Mr.) Pekka K.
