Mozilla Mail can't connect to server

Hello,

I've just been given a box at work with Red Hat 9.
It is in the corporate lan, behind a firewall.
Web surfing happens through proxy.
Home directories are on NFS server.
Email is Imap from company server.

This box replaced one with RH 7.2
On that box I had Mozilla mail perfectly
configured to send and receive email through
the company servers.

Now Mozilla on RH9 has started loading all the
working settings from ~/.mozilla, those entered
in RH 7.2
However, while web surfing works fine, I cannot
send or receive mail. I only get messages like:

"Failed to connect to server MYCOMPANY_IMAP_SERVER"
or
"unable to connect to smtp server MYCOMPANY_SMTP_SERVER"

Netscape email, with the same account, on a Solaris box on the next
table works fine.

What should I look at/change?

TIA,
Marco Fioretti
