Any info will be appreciated. DB2 doesn't actually need any additional software to run on a cluster of Linux machines. You install DB2 ESE with the Data Partitioning Feature (DPF) on each of the machines and they co-operate to give a single logical database. They don't need to share the database disks because of DB2's "shared nothing" architecture. Up to 1000 machines are supported in the cluster. You might want additional cluster software if you want to set up a high availability cluster so that if one node fails its processing is picked up by some other node in the cluster. If so there are a few options: Tivoli System Automation for Linux Steeleye Lifekeeper and probably others and there's some open source HA cluster software for Linux as well. DB2 isn't currently supported on RH9 however. It is on RHEL and RH8 as well as several others. The supported Linux list is here: http://www.ibm.com/software/data/db2/linux/validate/ -- Kevin Street street@xxxxxxxxxx -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list -- This e-mail may contain confidential and/or privileged information.
