I have not tried to set up the Scanner on my RH9 machine until I knew if
I could run the scanner as a networked device (like my printer).  Since
it appears that SSH is the way to do it, I will end up leaving my
scanner hooked up to my WinXP machine.  If I get a chance and try it on
my RH9 machine, I will let you know.
