Trying to copy a >2G file using samba to a W2K,NTFS
partition fails at 2G (From RH9 latest kernel from RH
and latest samba from www.samba.org)

I've been googling and searching this complete list
for help on sorting out what MUST be something I am
doing wrong (I emphasise MUST coz this is an issue
that I have found comments about more than a year old
and it still doesn't work for me)

Anyone got any hints please?

My setup: RH9 kernel 2.4.20-24.9

I've tried RH samba: 2.2.7a-8.9.0
Then updated to the latest from samba.org: 3.0.0-2
(the specific rh9 RPM they have)

I guess the problem is kernel related since the code for
3.0.0-2 appears to have the 'lfs' option.

My fstab line is this:
//Tigger/S  /TiggerS  smbfs  lfs,ip=192.168.7.7,noauto,username=andy   0

I even rebooted :-) :-) :-)

The target W4K (SP4) machine is only NTFS
