Hardware Layer 3 Switch with IP Forwarding enabled (but no MCAST forwarding enabled) 172.17.24.1 172.17.26.1 Red had 9 Linux Box(with mrouted 1st end point) Red had 9 Linux Box(with mrouted 2nd end point) 172.17.24.47 <------------------------> 172.17.26.123 Def Gateway 172.17.24.1 Def Gateway 172.17.26.1 Having done this. Boxes on the 172.17.26.0 network that send mcasts on 239.10.15.165, the boxes on 172.17.24.0 can recv them. But it is not the other way round.
