RE: Spam

Jake,

I also use MailScanner/SpamAssassin/razor/pyzor/dcc and 3 RBL's at the MTA
and catch roughly 98% of the spam. I just picked up about 20 more email
domains, so my spam percentage is up to 7% right now, but it will drop back
off.

Your boss is out of his mind if he thinks that ANY product is going to be
100% effective. The spam battle is ongoing and dynamic. Compare it to the
"war on drugs" :) I'd venture to say that MailScanner/SpamAssassin is doing
better than the DEA!

With the vast configuration abilities of MailScanner, you could lower the
spam threshold AND actions on a per user basis via the rulesets. If your
boss doesn't want ANY spam in his inbox, lower his score threshold below the
5.x range to say 3.x or so. Set his Spam Action to delete. You can make MS
do anything you want. Let him be the one that says to lower those bars so
that when legit email starts disappearing, it's not on your head.

Mike
