i have found this in the net try typing what i tried is that exporting
LANG=en_US then run the acroread this works but if the console is closed
then it is gone i just did a small script exporting the LANG=en_US then
running the acroread

btw im using acrobat reader 5.5

[kent@leprechaun kent]$ export LANG=en_US
[kent@leprechaun kent]$ acroread
