Yeah, I noticed that reading back through the thread. Nevertheless, it seems odd that an IM client would require something provided by gtk-rep. I thought only sawfish used rep. So, reading between the lines I wondered whether he might mean libgtk.so instead.
the im client in question is called 'sanity'. as i understand it, it is supposed to be a version of lotus sametime.
they also have a rpm java version of sametime, but it is an ancient build, version 1.5. i have it working, but it has some hiccup, which i hoped 'sanity' would resolve.
