seems odd that an IM client would require something provided by gtk-rep.

i think it's strange too. for additional context, i'm attempting to reverse engineer our corporate linux image. it is based on rh9, but rather than just take the image with all the extra crap that i don't need or want, my goal is to load rh9, then add only the packages that i want.

the im client in question is called 'sanity'. as i understand it, it is supposed to be a version of lotus sametime.

they also have a rpm java version of sametime, but it is an ancient build, version 1.5. i have it working, but it has some hiccup, which i hoped 'sanity' would resolve.
