Ladys..LADYS! Play nice. First, I would contend that Fedora is NOT attempting to target the "average" user or "Windows" users. At least, RH isn't pitching it that way. They contend that it is "bleeding edge." Now, should that translate to easier to use? Probably, but it may not. Like anything bleeding edge, there will be hickups and snags. I didn't read the article, so I can't say anything to the validity of the writer's points. I think the truth probably lies somewhere in between. She probably expected too much and knew too little. On the other hand, she probably isn't a clueless bitch or she wouldn't tackle installing Linux or at least be very successful at it. It really doesn't matter to me at this time whether Fedora is the Linux equivelant of crack or not. I'm insulted by RH's contention that desktop users aren't worth their time and those of us who were willing to pay we just too insignificant. I realize they have a business to run, but given this move and their new licensing scheme (I call Microsoft Lite), they are headed in the wrong direction in my opinion. <<JAV>> ---------- Original Message ----------- From: H M Kunzmann <herbert@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: 13 Nov 2003 15:42:44 +0200 Subject: Re: fedora gets poor reviews > > instead of child like-sulking. > > > > yes, name calling is much more mature > > If you feel that my post did not contain a valid point, I'd like to hear > your opinion on why. ------- End of Original Message ------- -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
