Problems with "printtool" - still not working

Still having problems with printtool. I now have redhat-config-printer-0.6.47.11-1 and
redhat-config-printer-gui-0.6.47.11-1 installed - no improvement. I reported to
bugzilla - no movement. I am getting desparate since I only have this SMB printer
because it is an USB printer and my Linux PC has no USB.

Any ideas?

Here the original message of mine:

---------------------
After having problems with SMB printing (printing files from Linux to a
W2000 printer) just installed redhat-config-printer-0.6.47.9-1.i386.rpm
<ftp://updates.redhat.com/9/en/os/i386/redhat-config-printer-0.6.47.9-1.i386.rpm>

and redhat-config-printer-gui-0.6.47.9-1.i386.rpm
<ftp://updates.redhat.com/9/en/os/i386/redhat-config-printer-0.6.47.9-1.i386.rpm>

but I keep on having the same problem in SMB printing:

- I can print a text file with samba client w/o problems
- I cannot see the share on config-printer-gui's selection list - I only
see the network names of the servers but when I click the "expansion
sign" next to the server name no share names appear
- trying to use the "manual include" window brings no result - after
having filled in the correct infos an "OK" would not close the window
but it will remain open until I use "cancel button".

Here an addon: On a 2nd Unix system that already had the SMB printer installed I saw
the printer names in the printer config window but I wasn't able to use the test function
to send a test page. Simply nothing happened. I saw nothing rlevant in the Samba log file.

Any ideas?
