I can't say really -- I used my machine for normal things like mail, editing, compiling -- 32Mb was fine; the 64Mb appeared faster but it was a newer, faster chipset. This machine (an Inspiron 8500) has a 64Mb GeForce4 in it which runs 1920x1200 truecolour just fine and when it ran windows played DVDs wonderfully.

Well... drop the other shoe (the one that matters) - how did it do as far as playing dvds in linux?

You'll have to wait ... I haven't put ALSA and XINE on it ... yet ... but I have high hopes, the wide screen looks very nice.
